Operation Canasta, Inc. is an organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Accordingly,  contributions made to
Operation Canasta, Inc. can be deducted by the respective donors to the full extent
permitted by the Code and other applicable law.  Operation Canasta, Inc. is run by
unpaid volunteers. More than 95%  of all the money received by Operation Canasta, Inc. 
is used  to further its mission to assist the neediest children in Argentina. (The balance of
funds is used for postage, printing, website fees, and other administrative costs.)
